Minimum Automan Setup before the First Repair

Level Basic Role Owner/Admin Module Store Settings, Access Permission About 15 minutes
Updated

The great temptation on day one is to open every settings page at once, then disappear into them until midnight without recording a single transaction.

Do not. Set up only what today needs: shop identity, one owner or admin account, and somewhere to put the money. The rest follows as you go.

The principle: set up only what you will use today. Shop identity, one owner/admin account, and the money pockets are enough at this stage. Staff accounts, products, receipts, WhatsApp, promotions, accounting, and advanced settings belong in their own topic guides.

Before you start

  • An active Automan account with a Store App already created.
  • Logged in as an owner/admin user.

Steps

  1. Enter the Account Panel and open your Store App

From the Account Panel, pick your shop's Store App. Every setting that follows happens inside that Store App.

The Account Panel: the door into your shop's Store App.
  2. Check the shop identity the Wizard already filled

The Business Type Wizard has already entered your shop name, phone and address — so here you are only checking it under Settings → Business Identity → Store and adding a logo if you have not uploaded one. While you are there, confirm the timezone under General; a wrong zone shifts every daily report and reminder schedule. Currency formatting has its own Currency settings.

The identity entered here appears on receipts and reports.
  3. Make sure an owner or admin account is ready

Use an owner/admin account that can already open the shop settings. Staff accounts and access rules can be added later when each person is ready to use the Store App.

The initial setup only needs an active owner or admin account.
  4. Set up Payment Channels (the shop's money pockets)

In Settings → Business Identity → Store → the Store Payment Channels section, register everywhere the shop keeps money: the cash drawer, bank accounts, and e-wallets. Every payment is recorded per pocket, so each place's balance is readable anytime.

Every place the shop keeps money is registered as a channel (pocket).

What you end up with

The minimum shop settings are ready. Next, complete the repair master data before recording the first unit.

If something goes wrong

A menu doesn't show

Check Module Setting (module installed and active period valid) and the access rights of the logged-in user.

Staff accounts have not been created

Complete this setup with the owner/admin account. Add staff accounts and access rights when each person is ready to use the Store App.
